Flag salute and prayer given. A movie was shown for Veteran’s Day. Veterans were asked to stand and applause and appreciation was given for their service.

Ken Edmunds gave the Treasurer’s Report.

Minutes were read, and there was a name correction in the second paragraph to correctly state Steve Millington. There was also a correction to state that endorsements were considered for city council positions, not commissioners, at the last meeting. Mike Mathews move to amend the minutes with the corrections, Leon Mills seconded, Motion passed unanimously.

Mike Matthews announced that he is the regional co-chair for Governor Otter’s campaign. He also Discussed a new resolution proposal regarding candidate to think about.

Mya Goodman and Linda Culver presented plans for Lincoln Day. They want to do something different to energize the local party. They want to bring in a national speaker and have more people attend, and Michael Reagan has agreed. Canyon Crest may waive the facility fee.   Tickets will be $75 a piece, and a table of eight will be $1,000. Lincoln Day will be February 19, and all congressional members have committed to coming.

Billee Hasbrouk asked where the money came from. The money came from businesses and some individuals. Lani Whitney asked about preliminary numbers. Ken Edmunds puts members on the white board. 150 tickets will be reserved for $75 a piece. Eileen Banholzer asked if invitations would be extended to other counties. They will be. Steve Hartgen and Bert Stevenson committed to buying a table. Lucy Bazil-Wilkes asked if there would be other speaker expenses, such as hotel. Yes, but hopefully at a reduced rate.

There will be a band at Lincoln Day, and the band has agreed to play for free. A dance will be from 9-11. VIP time with Mr. Reagan will be at 5. Social hour will be at 6, and the program at 7.

Steve Hartgen moved to approve the program expenditure of funds to proceed with the program. Mike Mathews seconded, the Motion passed unanimously.

Billee Hasbrouk that the Republican Women meet the Monday before Thanksgiving at noon.

New Business- Lani Whitney presented a new resolution calling for the Legislature to protect Idaho citizens with heath issues from the Federal government mandated health system. Lani says other state legislatures have passed it. Ken Edmunds asked who drafted it, Other states. Jeremy Sasser-Collins believes Ada and Bonneville counties have passed a similar resolution.

Billee Hasbrouk asked about how the process worked. Steve Hartgen explained the legislative process. He also discussed what he knew about the issue, and that the Idaho House had been discussing whether it should be passed as a Constitutional change, a statute, or a resolution. Mike Mathews explained how to send the resolution on to the next State Central Committee Meeting. Senator Stevenson talked about the process and settling on a version so competing versions aren’t being debated.

Ken Edmunds that a task force be formed by Gretchen to finalize language for the December 9 meeting. Leon Mills seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.

Ken Edmunds brought up a protocol issue on whether he could submit a proxyfor any meetings that conflicted with his State Board of Education meetings. Jennifer Gose agreed to look it up and let him know the by-laws stated.

Beth Bryan commented on someone from New York running against Senator Mike Crapo. Mike Mathews and Steve Hartgen addressed residency requirements for federal officers.

Jackie Frey motioned to adjourn. Seconded, motion passed.
